Rocky Mountain National Park

The beauty and splendour of the mountains and blue skies will lure you to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Situated on the edge of town, it is easily accessible from Estes Park and the Bear Paw Cabin. Longs Peak, shown above, rises into the sky 14,255 feet. Bear and Sprague are a few lakes that are easily accessed with great hiking trails around them. From Bear Lake you can hike to other lakes like Nymph, Dream and Emerald which sit, pristinely within the mountains. Trail Ridge Road can be seen cutting into the mountain ranges in the Park. This paved,continuous road goes up and over the Great Continental Divide.

The Famous Stanley Hotel - Founded by E.O. Stanley, inventer of the "Stanley Steamer". Also used for the filming of "The Shining".

Herds of elk, deer and big-horn sheep can be seen year-round, and most every morning you will see deer across from the cabin up on the slope. Flower-lovers are never disappointed in June & July when the meadows and hillsides are an array of botanical color. A hike up the back of the cabin will yeild a lovely display of blooming catus and a view of the canyon you will never forget.
